Teaming up with California homicide detectives, they were searching for the remains of a missing nineteen-year-old girl named Erin Corwin, the wife of a Marine. And after eight days of wrenching testimony, the prosecutor ended his case by showing jurors the love poem Chris Lee wrote to Erin Corwin. That she wanted to be with him and wanted to move to Alaska with him. The Desert Sun reported in 2016 that Lee was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murder and lying in wait, meaning that the jury believed he planned and lured Corwin to her death. So Chris, his wife Nichole and their 5-year-old daughter Liberty, temporarily moved into an extra room at Isabel Megli's horse ranch.
